Happy Father's Day

One of my favorite covers.

And happy father's day to all the dads out there real and fictional alike.

Action Figure "Glowing Repulsor Energy!"

I don't normally have a lot of interest in buying action figures but... I have acquired a few of various armors I really like or gifts. So I scanned the cards that came in one of them, three on clear plastic so when you put them together it forms a complete image of Iron Man's armor. It's not terribly impressive but it's Iron Man and might be of some interest to someone. I believe this action figure runs $7.99 at Wallmart/Target.

Much to my amusement... this particular action figure I was given does light up in the chest when you press on his head. What a guy.

Two Randoms: Cars and Samurai

Well, today I bring you two random scans...

The first is a variant cover for Dark Wolverine when Marvel did all of the covers Iron Man themed (sort of how they are doing the "I am Captain America" covers right now, which are btw super awesome). The second is a car advertisement from 2007 that is cool because it's Marvel... and it features Iron Man.

Invincible Iron Man #409

The art in this issue is really outstanding, this is Invincible Iron Man #409 featuring a story arch where Iron Man fights Thor and has an armor just for that (sort of like his Hulkbuster armor). Also included a scan in the back from a preview for an upcoming issue of the Avengers (back in the day) with Cap, it's one of my favorite images of him ever... him holding the little boy but I have a soft spot for kids so it might not have the same charm.
